Appstore App on Cydia for Free?!

ID Software company has released a Appstore game called Wolfenstein 3D dor $5. The funny thing is that the game is under a GPL or General Public License. Which means that you can go to the Wolfenstein Site , and download the source code for the game yourself. Zodttd who has made many games before for Cydia, simply went to the wolfenstein site and downloaded the source code and uploaded the game to Cydia for free. This is totally legal, being that the Wolfenstein 3D game is under the GPL.
